2019 isn’t over and neither is Yung Joc headlining with his hair styles. This time, Yung Joc pays tribute to Tupac’s Juice character, Bishop.
As it was the case earlier this year, Yung Joc called on celebrity hairstylist, Deva Pink. Although Deva Pink did not create the Tupac art, she complimented the design with braids. Deva has styled the likes of Keyshia Cole, Kat Graham and Shanique Adams.
Rob The Original did the honors of creating the Bishop character on Yung Joc. The San Antonio resident started etching portraits into people’s hair 14 years ago. “When I started cutting hair in the neighborhood, I’d cut stars and zigzag lines into kids’ haircuts and they’d turn out pretty good. So, people started asking if I could do drawings. It’s been a gift of mine to be able to draw. Of course I had to figure out my own technique with the buzzer and scissors, which took time,” Rob tells Cosmopolitan.
When Usher debuted a new hairdo New Years Eve 2018, Yung Joc issued a challenge. The “King of Hair & Fleek” challenge. Shortly after Yung Joc broke the internet with his own new look. A pressed look with blue hair coloring.
Earlier this month Deva Pink spoke with The Dinner Club about Yung Joc controversial hairstyle from January 2019. She also goes on to reveal whether or not Yung Joc’s hairdo was permed. She also explains why Yung Joc colored his hair blue and how that came about. All this and more with Deva Pink on The Dinner Club can be heard below.
