Tekashi 69 was Sentenced to 24 months in prison. 300 hours of community service, $35,000 fine, and 5 years of supervised release.
As of April 1st, Judge Paul Engelmayer is willing to release Hip Hop artist Tekashi 6ix9ine as long as he receives the green light from the Government. In response, US Attorney Geoffrey Berman wrote he is ok with the idea of 6ix9ine’s early release to home confinement.
With that being said Tekashi could be released from prison on Thursday April 2, 2020.
Tekashi 69 Sentence To End On August 2, 2020
March 23, 2020 – Confirmed by Tekashi 69 legal rep, Lance Lazzaro, the rapper will be released on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
Lance Lazzaro confirmed to Complex via text message about 6ix9ine release date of August 2, 2020. The Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator, has Daniel Hernandez aka Tekashi listed under the release date of Sunday August 2nd.
Not only did Lazzaro confirm the date, but a spokesperson from the Bureau of Prisons’ Public Affairs department confirmed to Complex via email.
Although this is the projected release date, things can change. But as told to Complex in the email, reason for Tekashi’s early release is, “because he’s the perfect model prisoner”.
What is the 85 percent rule mean for Tekashi 69?
6ix9ine will get credit for 13 months time served and is expected to be released on November 18 of 2020. The 85 percent rule could help Tekashi to come home in July 2020.
With the 85 percent rule, if an offender has served at least 85 percent of their sentence, plus maintained a good institutional record behind bars, this would enable them to be released. If released it would be under a post-release supervision for whatever time period the Judge determines.

Tekashi’s lawyer files paperwork hoping to have him home soon
January 15, 2020 – Tekashi’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro has filed the proper paperwork which could allow Tekashi to finish his sentence at home.
In the proposal, Lazzaro claims Tekashi is “seriously at risk” due to the fact that the private prison he is in is filled with Bloods. Tekashi played a big role in the take down of key None Trey Blood members. His cooperation is no secret and for that reason his well being is in jeopardy. Original post.

Federal prosecutors ask for a lighter sentence
December 6, 2019 – The question remains when will 69 get out of jail?
Federal prosecutors have asked the Judge for a lighter sentencing. After cooperating to convict two members of the Nine Trey Bloods, Tekashi 69 lighter sentence could mean his release in early 2020.
According to TMZ, U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York have said Tekashi’s cooperation was “incredibly significant and extremely helpful”.
