FOX 32 News has reported that Jussie Smollett has been indicted on six counts on Tuesday (February 11).
The former “Empire” actor was indicted by a special prosecutor Dan Webb, all because of what happened with the racist and anti-gay attacks that allegedly occurred a year ago.
According to reports, Jussie Smollett is accused of lying to Chicago police. Six counts of disorderly conduct is what Smollett is facing.
So what’s next for Jussie Smollett? The new charges will be revisited on February 24 at the Criminal Court Building at 26th and California (in Chicago).
Since January 2019, when Smollet filed a police report for the alleged attack, and even till this point, he has maintained his innocence. Smollett also sued the City of Chicago, feeling as they did not treat the case fairly.
No other details about the indictment has been revealed to the public. Representatives for Smollett have yet to comment.
