Days after Tupac Shakur was arrested, he was set to appear in court Monday afternoon. No further update is available at this time. There is a possibility his court date was postponed.
At the moment, Shakur is in Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $18,000 bond.
WCYB News 5 first reported that a white man named Tupac A. Shakur had been arrested in Elizabeth Tennessee. The 40 year old arrested by the Johnson City Police Department Friday evening, is facing multiple charges.
Reports indicated that officers responded to a call on Friday evening at around 5:40 p.m. on East Unaka Avenue. Officers quickly began searching for an individual with active warrants from the Cater County Sheriff’s Department.
Once officers reached the location, they were unable to make the arrest, as the man drove off in a vehicle. After searching for the suspect again, officers were able to locate the vehicle as well as the man.
Shakur wasn’t going down without a fight as he quickly reached for his waistband and turned to officers with a knife in hand. Officers were able to take control and have Tupac arrested.
Tupac A. Shakur is facing multiple charges that include aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple possession of meth and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
