The official museum of Hip Hop is set to pay tribute to Biggie Smalls on March 9th.
The Universal Hip Hop Museum located at the Bronx Point will aim to document, preserve and celebrate the culture’s history. Although the museum will not open its doors until 2023 in the Bronx, Down Lo Music and UHHM have together for this event.
Making the announcement via Instagram on Sunday (March 1) is looking to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Biggie Smalls for years to come.
March 9th marks the twenty-three year anniversary of Biggie Small’s passing after being gunned down in Los Angeles.
The special tribute event will feature various artist behind the music from DJ and music producer, Easy Mo Bee.
Easy Mo Bee worked with Biggie Smalls on various songs such as Biggie’s breakout hit “Party and Bullshit” and ironically one of Biggie’s last songs “Going Back To Cali”.
“So if you love Biggie and want this museum to happen to preserve his legacy then come out and show your support at [R]Evolution of Hip Hop,” says UHHM.
The event will be held at 610 Exterior Street Bronx, NY 10451 with tickets available via uhmm.org. Tickets are $50 donation and can be used as a tax write off.
