Tupac BMW Fired Upon On Las Vegas Strip
On the evening of September 7, 1996, both Tupac and Suge were sitting in the BMW stopped at a red light on East Flamingo and Koval Lane on the Vegas strip. With their entourage behind them, a car pulled up alongside them and shot into the BMW. The result of the shooting was that Tupac left fighting for his life. Six days later, on September 13, 1996, Tupac Shakur succumb to injuries sustained in the drive-by. He was twenty-five years old.
With the nature of the crime, Las Vegas Police took the BMW away for examination and later auctioned off. The new owner will be provided with documentation from Celebrity Cars Las Vegas proving its history and authenticity. However, potential buyers need to put a $20,000 refundable deposit down. This, undoubtedly, is a piece of not only music history but American and black history. Tupac, a son of a Black Panther, led the way for his generation to have a voice in a racist society. Many worldwide consider him a revolutionary, with issues he raised over twenty years ago still relevant today.
