According to Wack 100, The Game is working on a new project despite calling his previous album his last.
In November 20019, Compton native The Game released his ninth studio album, Born 2 Rap. The album featured artists undoubtedly complimented The Game’s style at this stage of his career. Singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran opens and closed the album while the track “Welcome Home” features the vocals of the late Nipsey Hussle.
Releasing two songs “Westside” and “Stainless” off the project, the west coast legend strongly suggested that it would be his last album. The Game took to social media to verify the statement. “I’ve had a great run & surpassed my rap goals a long time ago,” he said at the time. “It will always be ‘QUALITY’ over ‘QUANTITY’ from where I stand. The REAL music will always prevail & this album will cap off an amazing run.”
Throwing doubt to that claim, The Game’s manager and 100 Entertainment head Wack 100 revealed that the Hip Hop star doesn’t know how to retire. Never wanting to put the mic down, The Game released a new song in November, titled ‘A.I. With the Braids‘ featuring Lil Wayne. Speaking recently with AllHipHop, Wack 100 says The Game will go beyond one song, revealing a new project called “30 For 30”, 30 songs displayed as a playlist. In addition to this, he touched on future plans including film and signing artists.
Wack 100 said: “We’re calling it 30 for 30. You know with Game you never know. I know we’re about to start getting off into film, I know he’s definitely looking to manage and sign some artists, but Game has the passion for music, he has a studio at his home. Do I think Game could walk by his studio every day and totally ignore it? Hell naw. Do I think he’s not going to stay relevant without having something to say, he definitely will.”
