As he awaits his release from prison, the latest Tekashi update is not pretty. In fact it will cost him over 2 million dollars, as he is sued by FashionNova.
The controversial Hip Hop artist will be released from prison on August 2, 2020, as confirmed by his legal rep, Lance Lazzaro. The release date was confirmed last week by Lazzaro. (Latest Tekashi update click here.)
Till then, Tekashi 6ix9ine is being sued left and right, so it seems. The latest of those legal woes comes from the fashion retail company FashionNova. Aside from their FashionNova line for women, the company also has FashionNova for Men, and FashionNova Curve.
According to TMZ, FashionNova and Tekashi had a deal in place that goes back to 2018. Part of that deal was a $225,000 advancement to Tekashi, as well as a $2.25 million dollar deal.
Tekashi 6ix9ine would then be arrested two weeks after the deal was complete, which made it difficult for him to hold up his end of the deal. FashionNova is also concerned about Tekashi’s image, as they claim his “snitching” hurts his image and will affect the deal with FashionNova in the long run.
FashionNova is also claiming that 6ix9ine promised to pay back the $225,000 advance pay, but has yet to do so.
