Tekashi 6ix9ine Epic Come Back By The Numbers

The self proclaim King Of New York, and hottest artist in Hip Hop, Tekashi 6ix9ine broke a record and reached impressive numbers with his epic come back.

Whether you like him or not, and whether you want to admit or not, Tekashi 6ix9ine had the world watching on Friday (May 8th). Over two million to be exact were watching him.

Despite a few hiccups, and crashes due to heavy traffic, Tekashi 69 was able to celebrate birthday as he turned 24-years old. Part of the birthday celebration was a new single titled ‘GOOBA’, along with its music video, and an Instagram Live (@6ix9ine) appearance.

Here are Tekashi 6ix9ine’s number for his come back on Friday May 8th:

  1. GOOBA music video reached 18 Million views on YouTube in less than 8 hours.
  2. Breaks Instagram Live record with 2 Million viewers, a record held by Babyface and Teddy Riley who had 500 million views.
  3. GOOBA is at #6 (May 8th 11:39PM EST) on the US iTunes Top Songs list.
  4. Most views by a Hip Hop artist in 24hrs with 43.55 million surpassing Eminem’s record for “Kill Shot” at 38.1 million

During his Instagram live appearance, Tekashi explained why he “snitched”, and how those around him were not loyal.

“Where was the loyalty when you was sleeping with my baby mother?” asks 6ix9ine. “Where was the loyalty when you were caught on the wire tap trying to kill me? Where was the loyalty when you tried to kidnap my mother? Where was the loyalty when you were stealing millions of dollars from me? Where was that? Who broke it first? I get it. Don’t fight fire with fire. I’m sorry. But what did I do wrong? Be loyal to (brothers) that’s (screwing) my baby moms? Be loyal to (bothers) that kidnapped me, beat the (ishh) out of me on video? I’m supposed to be loyal to that?”
