Since the tragic passing of Nipsey Hussle, there has been many comparisons to Tupac Shakur. Suge Knight witnessed first hand Tupac’s triumphed, controversial and tragic year of 1996.
Suge who recently spoke with TMZ behind bars, feels that Nipsey followed the same “Tupac manuel”. During his interview with TMZ, Suge Knight acknowledged and understood where Nipsey was coming from. A lot of artists like Nipsey have the same problem that I had. We are too loyal to our neighborhood,” explained Suge to TMZ.
Keeping it real has been much for discussion as of late. Should an artist “keep it real” and stay in the hood or come around their hood often. Suge Knight shared his own feelings towards the topic, “When you go around Hollywood it’s all watered down.” Suge implied that he would love to go back to his hood to “get chili cheese fries and strawberries and talk to my lil homies. at the end of the day as Suge Knight states those same homies need to “help you survive”.
When comparing Nipsey Hussle to Tupac, Suge said, “I feel that Nipsey was trying to follow the same Tupac manual to the community. He came together with YG like Snoop did with Tupac.”
Many positives have come from this unfortunate tragedy. Unity being one as we saw during the L.A gangs peace march last week. Suge Knight tells TMZ the good that comes out of that, “what’s good is that all the hoods getting together now. We can be stronger considering what happens when we come together.”
