Suge Knight Jr. stops by REal 92.3 LA to talk about creating his own lane, Tupac’s death and New Deathrow.
Although he was unable to work out a deal with the current owners of Deathrow Records, that hasn’t stopped Suge Knight Jr. to create his own path. Suge Knight has no hard feelings towards the current owners of Deathrow records, but has created his own label.
The New Deathrow is an independent label which Suge Knight Jr. has started. Don’t worry he did his research and yes he is able to use a similar brand logo for the label as the original Deathrow records. “I’m looking in start a successful independent label. I’m just getting my start pretty much. When you get people coming up to you, put me on put me on. Young people don’t really realize what that means. They just saying give me some money so I can go to the studio for free and then do all these tracks.
As Suge Knight Jr. continues, you can tell his growth and maturity, “They forget the business part, where you got to pay that money back. That’s what rappers would be forgetting to realize.”
Suge Knight Jr. also gives his thoughts of what many feel they can hear “suge shot me” at the beginning of the Makaveli album.
