Two of the most iconic West Coast Hip Hop figures of all time, appear to be reuniting one more time. Saturday morning (June 27), Snoop Dogg teased the reunion by posting a photo of himself with the legendary producer, Dr. Dre.
Discovered in 1992 by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg was featured on Dre’s solo debut single, ‘Deep Cover’, and Dre’s solo debut album, ‘The Chronic’. Since then the two former Death Row artists have collaborated on hits such as ‘Still D.R.E’ and ‘The Next Episode’.
Captioning a photo of the two Hip Hop legends in studio, Snoop Dogg simply wrote, “Bac2gether again”. No word yet if the reunion is for a single or an album.
For Snoop Dogg this isn’t the only collaboration or reunion he has in stored. During an interview this past week with Beats 1 host Ebro Darden, Snoop revealed he has reunited with longtime friend Willie Nelson for a new song.
The single which is yet titled, is set to be released in the coming weeks. The goal for the song is to unify, while addressing the current times. Times in which the world has come to together in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. “The reason why we gonna make this record is because black and white matters right now, the love that we have for each other,” Snoop said.
Previously Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson featuring each other on their perspective projects. Willie Nelson’s 2012 ‘Hero’ album and Snoop’s 2011 ‘Doggumentary’.
