Social distancing did not prevent Joyner Lucas to have a face-to-face talk with his idol Will Smith.
After posting a video response to Joyner Lucas tribute music video for “Will”, the Fresh Prince told Lucas he had hopes of meeting one day. Few weeks later and Will Smith did not disappoint.
The two connected via Snapchat video call, where they both watched the music video, with Jaden Smith also on the call. When watching Joyner Lucas son make his cameo appearance, Lucas recalls the time he would tell Jaden his son resembled him.
During the video call Lucas asked Will Smith how many times did he watch the music video, with the actor responding with “nine times”.
After posting a preview of their Snapchat video call, Will Smith admitted to watching the music video more than just nine times. “If I’m being real, I probably watched it WAYYY more than 9 times 🙂 Thank you @joynerlucas for your incredible art and kind spirit.”
In related news, Joyner Lucas debut album ‘ADHD’ landed on the Billboard 200 with the number 10 spot. Believing hard work and dreams come true, Lucas took to Instagram to share a positive message to all independent artists.
“To all the indie artist that are constantly pushing through the struggle to one day make it, just know it’s possible. As an artist and the co-founder of @tullyapp I plan on leading by example. #ADHD out now.”
