NY Giants running back Saquon Barkley could have had something in common with the late great Tupac Shakur. His name.
After playing three seasons with Penn State, Barkley ended with 3,843 yards with 43 rushing touchdowns. Not to mention 1,195 receiving yards with 8 touchdown receptions. born in the Bronx, New York, Barkley’s father was a strong amateur boxer. Not to mention a huge Tupac Shakur fan.
So what better way than to honor the icon, then to name his son after him. Tupac Makaveli Barkley. Well that was until Saquon’s mother intervened and according to Saquon, “my mom was not having that at all.” Saquon explained to Taylor Rooks that it was a strong possibility and according to him very close of happening.
