After his release from prison, GS9 rapper Rowdy Rebel claims he is the King of New York and has a message for those who have a problem.
Rowdy has finally come home after being locked up since 2014 when he and Bobby Shmurda and 13 other GS9 members were arrested on a 69-count indictment steming from RICO charges.
Back in 2016, Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel both accepted a plea deal with a seven-year sentence and credit for two years time. For this reason Rowdy was eligible in 2020 to be released, and now the GS9 rapper is wasting no time in claiming the King of New York title.
After his release, the 29-year-old rapper was welcomed by his team and loved ones who instantly gave him a new iced out chain. With his team telling him to keep it moving, Rowdy could not help but to jump on top of a vehicle with a message to the rap game. “The real King of New York back. And if they don’t like it, tell them to do what they gotta do,” he shouted into a mobile phone.
Unfortunately for Shmurda, the rapper has 10 violations since his incarnation and as a result was denied parole in September. The Brooklyn rapper is due to be released next year in December.
