Redman Talks About Being Featured On All Eyez On Me Album

Ayo, lyrical gat spittin’ the criminal tactics

Redman recently sat down with HipHopDX where he spoke about the All Eyez on Me track ‘Got My Mind Made Up’ on which he is featured.

The song ‘Got My Mind Made Up’ also features the Dogg Pound’s Kurupt and Daz Dillinger. It was originally made for a Dogg Pound release but Suge Knight had other plans. The New Jersey rapper explains that once ‘Pac came home from Clinton Correctional Facility, Suge made sure Tupac had all new material.

In the interview with HipHopDX Redman said “The record was supposed to be for Kurupt and Daz album, they was our n**** on the west. They called us up, we swung through Daz’s spot. His spot was a little apartment but we was in there smokin’, chiefin, Inspectah Deck was there.”

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Kurupt details how Tupac wasn’t feeling Inspectah Deck and cut him off.

When asked about cutting him off, Kurupt said, “Tupac was like Beat is over ok, just take him off!” Even with Kurupt telling him that he sounds tight, ‘Pac insisted in him being took off. “I don’t want to hear all that tight stuff, just take that off!”

The origin of how ‘Got My Mind Made Up’ came to be on ‘Pac’s album down to Daz. He took the tape over to Dr Dre’s, as soon as Tupac heard it he wanted it on his album.

According to Daz Dillinger, Dr Dre took credit for the beat. When Daz told Tupac that it was actually his beat, things went sour between Dr Dre and Tupac.
