Lil Yachty’s mother, Venita McCollum, releases her step-by-step guide titled “Raising A Rapper”, on how to raise children in the entertainment world.
Venita McCollum know a thing or two about raising a child in the music industry, as her son Lil Yachty, started his career at 16 years old.
Although their relationship hasn’t been perfect, and McCollum isn’t declaring her new book as blue print to being a mom, the lessons she shares throughout the journey are valuable.
“He’s always so supportive in all that I do. I’m so blessed God made me his mom! He loves me and everybody around him! I never thought in a million years, I would work for my child! We have had our mother son challenges. I have made them lessons learned! Their is no blue print to being a mom!,” states Venita McCollum.
Lil Yachty’s mother hopes to answer some of what should be the most common questions for up-and-coming artist. Questions that sometimes get over looked. “You need to know, you have options? Should you sign a deal? Should you stay independent? You can find answers to these questions and more in my new book,” explains McCollum.
