Raekwon Cuban Linx 3 On The Way Closing Out The Trilogy

The Chef Raekwon Cuban Linx 3 is on the way as he broke the news during an interview with the return of Tidal Checkin hosted by Elliot Wilson.

Twenty-five years ago on August 1st, Raekwon dropped one of Hip Hop’s most classic record of all time. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Raekwon’s debut solo album, continued the success for the Wu-Tang camp. Peaking at number 4 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 130,000 hard copies in its first week.

In 2009, Rae dropped the sequel and once again landed at number 4 on the Billboard 200. Unlike the first installment, part 2 featured more artist outside of the Wu-Tang Clan. Artist such as Jadakiss, Slick Rick, and Busta Rhymes.

Now Raekwon is determined to closed out the trilogy as he tells Elliot Wilson. “Twenty-five years later, right?” said Chef Raekwon. “Listen, I feel like Al Green right now. It’s time we close that trilogy out.”

“It’s time to close that trilogy. I was holding all night. I was holding all night back to tell you that. Cuban Linx 3, baby. The trilogy. It’s over after that. It’s over,” added Rae.

On a side note, Raekwon recently was interview by The Breakfast Club where he spoke about participating on Verzuz. Rae revealed that he and Ghostface Killah have discussed a possible Verzuz showdown between the two. Until then we can expect Ghostface to once again co-star on Raekwon’s Cuban Linx 3.
