The latest Pop Smoke update is he has been indicted in the Eastern District of New York for allegedly transporting a stolen Rolls-Royce across state lines.
Pop Smoke who’s real name is Bashar Jackson, is accused of “Knowingly and intentionally” transporting the Rolls Royce between November and December. After returning from his trip to Europe, Pop Smoke was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
The Hip Hop artist pleaded not guilty and was released on $250,000 bond which he will return to court on Tuesday to ensure the bond. Pop Smoke’s mother is putting up her house in order to secure the $250,000 bond and the release of her son. Pop Smoke is scheduled for a court date of February 3 and is facing 10 years in prison.
According to reports, Pop Smoke made a deal with the owner of the 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith. Worth over $350,000 the Rolls-Royce was to be used for a Pop Smoke music video. In return the owner of the Roll-Royce would receive special treatment at an upcoming Pop Smoke concert.
Unfortunately for the owner, Pop Smoke did not hold up to his end of the agreement. When Pop Smoke did not return the Rolls-Royce, the owner reported the vehicle stolen to police.
Surprising to all, Pop Smoke posted a photo of himself with the Rolls-Royce in December with the location marked as New York.
Pop Smoke is set to release a new project this year titled ‘Meet The Woo 2’ and recently released a music video for his song ‘Christopher Walking“. “Porsche n—–, Hot Boy, you ain’t in the field, you a Top Boy / We gon’ tie that boy up like a cowboy / I’m the one that they envy like Calboy / Broke b—— ain’t allowed,” raps Pop Smoke on the new single.
The music video since its released has over one million views on YouTube.
