Planes, Trains and Automobiles the 1987 comedy film is being redone and is set to star Will Smith and Kevin Hart, as they work together for the very first time.
The original flick starred Steve Martin and the late John Candy. Directed by John Hughes, the movie saw the two actors share a three day journey as they attempt to get home to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Of course nothing comes easy during those three days.
Now 33-years later Aeysha Carr is prepared to write the script for the remake. The film will be released via Paramount Pictures in conjunction with Kevin’s ‘Hartbeat Productions’ and Will’s ‘Westbrook Studios’.
With the announcement came excitement from those who finally get to see a movie featuring Hart and Smith. Kevin Hart himself, who made the announcement via his IG account, explained why it took so long for the two actors to work together. “I’ve been patiently waiting for the right project to team up with my brother with,”Hart captioned his post.
“We found it and are developing it together with our teams. This will be huge for us and the city of brotherly love aka Philadelphia….. let’s goooooo @willsmith 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾,” Hart added.
