After filing a compassionate release petition on December 5th 2019 the request was denied, even though he meet the conditions required under federal law.

This would be the eighth time Shakur has been denied parole as a federal prisoner since 1986. In 1988 Dr. Shakur was convicted of RICO conspiracy, armed bank robbery and bank robbery killings and sentenced to 60 years in prison.

At no time did the evidence show that Dr. Shakur killed anyone. At two trials the evidence indicated others were responsible for the deaths. With that being said he has taken full responsibility for his actions, and has served as a force for good and anti-violence throughout his decades of incarceration,

Family and friends are asking for your help to support the parole and compassionate release of Mutulu by signing the petition to the U.S Parole Commission. Sign the petition here.
