Equally excited it 50, who will be working alongside Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who he refers to them as legends. “I told you Black Mafia Family was coming and it’s going to be the biggest show on television. Meech and Terry are legends and I am excited to bring their story to Starz.”
The new series has Hirsch hopeful for the diverse audience it will attract across the globe. “Black Mafia Family has all the hallmarks of a great drama, from the larger-than-life Flenory brothers to the deadly, high-stakes world they inhabited. This series is going to be an incredible ride for audiences around the world.”
Aside from the new series, 50 Cent has a lot on his plate already with ABC’s For Life, and multiple Power spinoffs.
Not to be outdone, is Nick Cannon who has one of the top morning shows with Nick Cannon Mornings on Power 106, will have his own TV show on Fox.
The show which is set to premiere on September 21 of 2020, will be produced through Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury and Nick Cannon’s own NCredible Entertainment.
Cannon’s guest hosting for Wendy Williams in 2019, was the “audition” needed to seal the deal. In a statement released by Debmar-Mercury co-presidents, they praise the multi-talented Nick Cannon.
“Clearances are climbing because our great station partners are hungry for a rising, versatile and dynamic talent like Nick. His light-hearted style quickly wins over viewers and gives them a much-needed escape from the world. We’ve been asked why we skipped doing test shows and explained there was no need. It’s obvious to anyone who watched Nick guest host for Wendy Williams last year how much he loves daytime talk and, based on the reaction of fans, how much they love him.”
Cannon is also excited for the new opportunity as he can not wait to come to everyone’s television screen this fall, calling this new adventure must see.
