Mistah F.A.B. drops new visuals for his latest single titled ‘God Ready’. The song is a tribute to Tupac Shakur, Nipsey Hussle, and Mac Dre.
The community organizer, activist, and entrepreneur released his tenth studio album in 2019. Titled ‘Cuban Cigars & Rose Champagne‘, the album closeout a successful year for Mistah F.A.B. who released four projects in total.
Directed by SYN Productions, ‘God Ready’ pays tribute to three Hip Hop artists who left a hug impact. Not just in Hip Hop as a whole, but their influence in California lives on. Tupac Shakur, Nipsey Hussle, and Mac Dre are all respected in ‘God Ready’.
Many were and still are affected by Nipsey’s passing, and that is quite evident with F.A.B. who ours out his heart on ‘God Ready’. “Nip I missed your funeral, not cause I’m fake / It’s cause I hate to see someone great, go out in that way / Thug tears fall and I’m mourning for you / The marathon continues and I’ma join it for you,” raps F.A.B. in tribute to Nipsey Hussle.
Tupac’s influence is still alive, and for Mistah F.A.B. he ain’t giving up. “Pac I wish I could’ve met you / If you was still alive, I swear you treat me like a nephew / You’re legacy is alive, it’s never left here / Ain’t too many leaders, we been trying to do our best here / Against all odds, still I rise though,” Mistah F.A.B. as he honors Tupac in ‘God Ready’.
Not to be left out is Mac Dre who was influential in the emergency of hyphy in the Bay Area. “Mac Dre told me boy you gotta reinvent / Stay creative in this game, or lose you’re relevance / Sway check, bag check, remain elegant,” reflects F.A.B.
