Mike Tyson has weighed in on the debate of who are the 50 best rappers of all time. Biggie take the top slot on the Mike Tyson top 50 greatest rappers of all-time.
The debate started when The Brew Podcast shared a list of who they believe are the 50 best rappers ever. Reactions on social media went into overdrive, sparking worldwide debates and countless revisions of the list. It was in a tweet by The Brew Podcast that the controversy began. The list had Jay-Z as number 1, Biggie at number 8 and Tupac in 15th on the list.
The former Heavy-weight champion shared the list on his Instagram. Underneath the list was this caption: “@fredfrenchy asked me to get y’all my top 50 rappers of all-time list. Here it is.”
Mike Tyson isn’t the only one to rank the Brooklyn rapper at number one. Ebro in the Morning host Peter Rosenberg also has Biggie at the top spot on his list. After Biggie, Tyson then lists Tupac, followed by Rakim, Nas, and Jay-Z.
Reaction To The Mike Tyson List
With anything like this, there’s always going to be differences of opinions between fans. But Mike Tyson has taken a lot of criticism on social media, with many people saying Tupac deserves the top spot.
@kuzey_kulekci 2Pac made 2 songs for you and you put him in second place
@low_ryydah Bruh you used to come out to ‘Pac how is he #2 #justbeingloyaltoNY Keep it a hundred.
@kingnip19 BIG before your homeboy man?! Wtf. What a slap in the face.
@shinelikedamoon ‘Pac is the goat and forever be number one.
With Mike Tyson and Tupac being friends and loyal to each other back in 1996, fans are starting to question the loyalty of the boxing icon. In May 2019, Tyson invited Wack 100 onto his podcast, knowing what disrespectful remarks Wack had said about Tupac.
According to sources, they both were involved in a fight off-camera, reportedly over a Tupac discussion. Many believe this to have been fabricated for clout, with hip-hop and boxing fans voicing their opinions.
