Marie Claire, the monthly magazine, has featured Hip Hop artist Megan Thee Stallion on their May 2020 edition.
In an interview with the Marie Claire which took place on Valentine’s Day in New York, Megan Thee Stallion at the time was at odds with her record label 1501, which wasn’t allowing her to release music.
After receiving the green light from a judge, Megan was able to release a the project “Suga”. A project which she is reluctant to call an album, as she tells Marie Claire magazine. “That’s big pressure. That’s like a husband,” says Meg, a self-professed commitment-phobe. “Projects are like, ‘We’re dating, we’re getting to know each other, we’re getting comfortable.’”
Despite her business schedule as one of the hottest up-and-coming artist in Hip Hop, Megan Thee Stallion is pursing another passion of hers. The die-hard fan of horror films, is looking to produce fresh new materiel for the genre.
“How many times can you remake Halloween?” A collaboration with Oscar-winning writer Jordan Peele would be nice,” Megan said during her interview. Hoping to collaborate with Oscar-winning write Jordan Pee, Megan has another person in mind who she idolizes.
Claiming to be Beyoncé’’s number one fan, Megan Thee Stallion talks about meeting the iconic singer, and how she almost fainted. “Everyone knows I’m Beyoncé’s number-one fan. When I met her, I wanted to faint, but I had to keep it cool.”
“I know I’m not doing shit that Beyoncé would do. Half the time, I’m like ‘Damn, Beyoncé would not be proud of this,’” Megan tells Lola Ogunnaike of Marie Claire.
