Marvel pays homage to Tupac by releasing a Spider-Man version of Tupac’s classic All Eyez On Me album cover. The cover was painted by New York artist Sam Spratt @samspratt
Sam, who is based in Brooklyn, studied at Savannah College of Art and his clients include Def Jam Recordings, Atlantic Records, Rolling Stone and now Marvel.
The tribute to Tupac came in the third installment of Marvel’s Hip-Hop Variants collection. Other artists included in this installment are Frank Ocean, Method Man and RZA.
The original picture is from the All Eyez on Me photo shoot, with the photographer on that day Ken Nahoum. In 2015 six original photographs complete with negatives from this iconic photo shoot went up for auction and sold for $1,573.
Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso shared the new installments on his Twitter page, where fans could see Sam’s creation.
