Celebrating her 7th birthday with help from Hip Hop artist Lil Baby, was Gianna Floyd, the daughter of George Floyd.
Quality Control artist linked up with former NBA player Stephen Jackson and restaurant owners Ericka and William Platt to surprise Gianna. The L.O.L dolls-themed birthday party was funded by profits made off Lil Baby’s hit single “The Bigger Picture”.
The song was one of the first in Hip Hop to spotlight police brutality in 2020 and the tragic passing of George Floyd. The Bigger Picture also helped Lil Baby’s My Turn album to immediately land back on the number one spot. According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, ‘My Turn’ earned 72,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 18.
The seven-year-old went on her Instagram account thanking Lil Baby for not only funding the party but also showing up. “L.o.l Surprise Birthday Party 🥳 Thank you so much @lilbaby_1 for coming and help me celebrate my 7th Birthday 🥳 🎂🎁🎊.”
