During his recent Twitter rant, Kanye West revealed that his favorite rapper Lil Baby declined to work with Yeezy.
“Lil Baby my favorite rapper but won’t do a song with me,”, West wrote. This was after West let the world know that he was been trying to divorce Kim Kardashian.
The tweet has since then been deleted. But, didn’t stop those in the Hip Hop community to imagine a Lil Baby Kanye West collaboration. Apparently Lil Baby was also curious and disappointed about the collaboration not happening.
In a tweet sent late Sunday night (July 23), Lil Baby wrote, “Nobody told me ye was trying to get me on a song Face with monocle that’s fu–ed up.”
Lil baby dropped his socially conscious record ‘The Bigger Picture‘, which helped his album ‘My Turn’ return back to the top of the charts. Rising from number five to number one in late June of 2020. The following week Lil Baby would again claim the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
“It’s bigger than black and white / It’s a problem with the whole way of life / It can’t change overnight / But we gotta start somewhere / Might as well gon’ head start here / We done had a hell of a year / I’ma make it count while I’m here / God is the only man I fear,” Lil Baby on the hook of ‘The Bigger Picture’.
Kanye West has yet to respond to Lil Baby’s tweet. Now the question is not if they will collab but rather when.
