Juelz Santana wife, Kimbella, speaks with the Breakfast Club about the new project “#FreeSantana”, plus confirms more music on the way.
Back in December of 2018, Juelz Santana was sentenced to 27 months in prison for attempting to bring a loaded gun on a flight. To make matters worst, Juelz was already listed as a convicted felon.
This isn’t just a throw away project with outdated songs, Juelz Santana had been working on music till the very last day he started his sentence. “I would say maybe about a year old, but he was still creating music up until the day he left. Literally in his basement where his studio is, just creating music,” explains Kimbella.
It doesn’t stop with #FreeSantana, Kimbella confirms on the Breakfast Club that more music is on the way. “Right now we have three different projects on the table,” confirms Kimbella.
Projects that could heavily featured Lil Wayne, as the two artists have reportedly recorded over twenty songs. Two of which was used for the latest project #FreeSantana.
“You know he’s just a perfectionist. I would much rather him be here to answer that question, but being his wife, knowing him very well,” said Kimbella. “He knew his music was great, but he always said it has to be the perfect time for me to release his music.”
For Kimbella, now was the perfect time. The demand for his music and how much he is missed, factored into her decision. “For me looking in this is the perfect time. You are not here. People have been asking for your music for so long. Let’s give them what they’ve been waiting for.”
Juelz Santana is due to come how Summer of 2020, but no official date has been set. According to Kimbella the proper paperwork has been submitted, and now it’s a matter of waiting, with the hopes of a date as early as June.
