After conducting his own investigation and accusing Ariana Grande of buying her way into the number one Billboard spot, Justin Bieber fires back at Tekashi 69.
Days before the final numbers were released, Tekashi 69 warned Billboard that he would expose them if ‘GOOBA’ didn’t land ahead of ‘Stuck With U’, the collaboration hit single between Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
Well, ‘Stuck With U’ is number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and Tekashi isn’t happy. The controversial rapper claims he has evidence that those behind the hit ‘Stuck With U’ bought over 60,000 units to help reach the number one spot.
“When we asked where was those six credit cards linked to, Billboard said we can’t disclose that information,” Tekashi alleged in the video posted on his IG TV.
Since then, Ariana Grande in a lengthy post on Instagram thanked her fans for the support and addressed Tekashi 69 allegations. “My fans bought the song. JUSTIN’S fans bought the song. OUR fans bought this song (never more than four copies each, AS THE RULES STATE).”
During her IG post, Ariana Grande not once mentioned 6ix9ine but pointed out how she was only targeted as a woman. This was a clear shot at Tekashi who only mentioned Ariana in his IG TV rant, and not Justin Bieber.
“To anybody that is displeased with their placement on the chart this week or who is spending their time racking their brain thinking of as many ways as they can to discredit hardworking women (and only the women for some reason…..), i ask u to take a moment to humble yourself. be grateful you’re even here. that people want to listen to u at all. it’s a blessed position to be in,” she wrote.
Justin Bieber quickly came to the defense of Grande, “He is counting his global streams and this is a domestic chart.”
“60,000 units came because we don’t disclose our numbers until end of week. That’s called strategy. He said 30k was bought with 6 credit cards but that is a lie. The rules are clear one credit card can buy max 4 copies,” Bieber continued via his IG Story.
“This is my song with Ariana Grande and I’m honored to work with her to help raise money for a great cause. If you gonna say her name make sure you say mine because it’s our song,” add Bieber.

Billboard also via a story posted on the site, explained how the rankings were calculated. “Overall, ‘Stuck With U’ drew 28.1 million U.S. streams, 26.3 million in radio airplay audience and 108,000 sold in the tracking week. ‘Gooba’ had 55.3 million U.S. streams, 172,000 in radio airplay audience and 24,000 sold,” Billboard explained. “Those sums resulted in the songs’ respective rankings on this week’s Hot 100.”
