Jerry Foxhoven Sent 350 Pages Worth Of Emails About Tupac

The Associated Press has reported the uncovering of over 350 pages worth emails by Jerry Foxhoven. All about Tupac Shakur and all sent to employees.

Former Iowa Department of Human Services Director Jerry Foxhoven sent various emails about Tupac. Emails that included the anniversary of Tupac’s death and also shared Tupac’s lyrics on Valentine’s Day.

Jerry Foxhoven had let employees know he was a huge fan of Tupac for years. He would pay tribute to Shakur every Fridays. On these “Tupac Fridays” Foxhoven would play Tupac’s music in the office.

Tupac’s lyrics were always up for discussion. Foxhoven would even celebrate his 65th birthday with Tupac-themed cookies which some read Thug Life on them.

According to employees Foxhoven told them he was inspired by Tupac’s lyrics.

Although many employees had no issue with Foxhoven’s “love” for Tupac Shakur, this does raise eyebrows about his resignation from the department.

For example back on June 14, Foxhoven sent an email to all 4,300 employees. In that email he told them to mark Tupac’s birthday which was on June 16th, by playing one of his songs.

Coincidentally Foxhoven was forced to resign that following Monday June 17 by Gov. Kim Reynolds.

As reported by Yahoo! News, a spokesman for the governor wouldn’t confirm or deny that Foxhoven’s Tupac emails resulted in him being forced into resignation.

“As the governor has said, a lot of factors contributed to the resignation of Jerry Foxhoven and now Gov. Reynolds is looking forward to taking DHS in a new direction,” said spokesman Pat Garrett.

Foxhoven did comment about the matter and believes Tupac Shakur wasn’t a factor in the decision.
