ATLANTA, GA. – The founder of JaGurl TV, one of the nation’s leading source for positive celebrity culture, eagerly anticipates that 2020 will be the year her ground-breaking company makes the enormous leap from successful business to an internationally recognized paradigm-changing world-class organization.
“JaGurl TV is already creating a new wave for media and creating a positive impact on the world,” said Ravin Williams, who founded JaGurl TV on July 14th, 2015. “Taking that next step is a lofty goal, but we’re determined to be the best at what we do.”
According to Williams, part of that next step involves creating a movement and shaping the way media is perceived, expanding on the unique positive-focus stories that her company already creates and posts on her site, making JaGurl TV a leading media company and breaking news stories.
“Right now we’re relevant because of the unique stories we create that you won’t get from other sites, and because we break news stories,” the ultra ambitious and uber-positive Williams said. “We’re not trying to beat out other news outlets, just share a different news perspective for our audience. Still, there is so much more we intend to accomplish.”
When Williams created JaGurl TV nearly five years ago, the goal was to give people another way to look at social media. That mission quickly evolved into providing celebrity interviews, celebrity news and motivation.
Williams, along with a staff of six conducts interviews, writes, videotapes and posts articles about some of the nation’s top entertainers.Among the numerous stars that JaGurl TV has interviewed are DJ Khaled, Tyler Perry, Fat Joe, Yolanda Adams, B Simone, Jermaine Dupri, Jamie Foxx, Marsai Martin and dozens more.
For Williams, another step in the process of taking her company to the next level is conducting her new Instagram Live series: #LetsTalk “#LetsTalk gives our audience a chance to watch us conduct live interviews on our Instagram page before we produce the content on YouTube and our website. It gives fans a chance to watch us engage with their favorite influencers.
We mainly focus our interviews around female influencers who have used social media to make a name for their brand.” So far the #LetsTalk series has interviewed New York rapper Holiday The Golden Child, and MTV Wild N Out own Pretty Vee. Its first epsiode launched on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020.
Becoming a credited Google News source is another major element that will benefit her business. That visibility has resulted in increased references by many other outlets, on Wikipedia pages and in website views that increased from 1.6K to more than 12K in the past five-months.
Williams has come a long way from Carbondale, Ill., where she was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. That journey took her to Atlanta-based Georgia State University where she earned degrees in Psychology and minor in African-American Studies in 2017. Professional success has been a hallmark of her career.
She’s committed to taking JaGurl TV to the next level of success. “From celebrity interviews to celebrity news and motivation, JaGurl TV is a full package media source that strives to keep you up to date on the positive side of social media,” Williams said. “I’m confident about our future because I know we’re going to do so much more.”
