Speaking with B High of Hot 107.9 in Atlanta, comedian Jack Thriller recalls the time Suge Knight wanted to link up with 50 Cent.
Referring back to an interview conducted with Tupac’s bodyguard Frank Alexander, Jack Thriller recalls when he called out Suge Knight during the interview.
“I said some crazy s*** about Suge Knight in that interview. I forget what I said. Some wild s***, like Suge you better leave him [Frank Alexander] alone,” explains Thirller. “I said something I had no business saying, and when that n**** had died, my soul came out my chest.”
Fast forward to Thriller working on the red carpet for the BET Awards. This is when a group of girls approach Thriller, with one of the girls claiming she knew Suge Knight and that Suge wanted Jack Thriller’s phone number.
“I said no don’t you dare give him my number,” remembers Thriller. “Why would you do that, and why does he need to talk to me for?”
Thriller would find the answer to that question, as Suge Knight contacted him. Suge didn’t want to speak to Thriller, but instead with the man he works for, 50 Cent. “Suge hit me up, and said he wanted to talk to 50 about doing a Death Row movie.”
During those time, the NWA movie “Straight Outta Compton” was being filmed, and when Suge discovered how his character was being portrayed, he was not pleased. Suge Knight wanted 50 Cent to use his “power” in hopes of making changes to his character in the movie “Straight Outta Compton”.
Thriller would agree to pass the message to 50 Cent if in return Suge Knight provided a drop. Suge promised to do the drop after Thriller linked him up with 50 Cent.
Knowing very well 50 did not want anything to do with Suge Knight, Thriller still went along, hoping to still get that Suge drop. “I went in the office the next day, and I said, ‘Hey 50. Suge Knight wanna holla at you, and had called me, and wanted me to give you the number, and said give him a call’.”
50 Cent’s reply was not surprising at all for Thriller, as he clearly said, “Man f*** that n****”, as he walked out of the office.
After dodging Suge Knight’s calls for over a month, Jack Thriller would learn that Knight was arrested for a fatal hit-and-run incident at the set of the Straight Outta Compton movie.
On September 2018, Suge Knight pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced Knight to 28 years in prison.
