Legendary rapper Ice Cube is using his platform to make “real board change” and joined Big Boy for the Big Interview, where he spoke about his plan for Black America.
“I was always on to this kind of stuff for years, but I felt like people were kinda into doing their own thing and trying to find a way for themselves to prosper in America,” Ice Cube explained to Big Boy.
Weeks prior to the story becoming public, Ice Cube reached out to both Trump and Biden campaigns to discuss the future of Black America and his Contact With Black America (CWBA). Cube’s CWBA is aimed at achieving racial economic justice. (View here)
“I realized you had to put a plan together to really get things moving, and I saw little reforms happening here and there when it comes to policing and the justice system,” Cube said during the Big Interview via YouTube. “But I didn’t board shoulder plan that can help us get out of this.”
Democrats are willing to talk further, but after the election. The Trump administration on the other hand spoke with Ice Cube and implemented some of his ideas in their “Platinum Plan” which led to Katrina Pierson thanking the rapper.
What is Trump’s Platinum Plan? The plan promises to create 500,000 black-owned business and 3 million new jobs for the Black community, while offering job training and better education.
After receiving backlash for working with the Trump administration, Cube took to Twitter Wednesday afternoon (October 15) to confirm reports and explain his actions. “Facts: I put out the CWBA. Both parties contacted me. Dems said we’ll address the CWBA after the election. Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA.” Cube tweeted. “Every side is the Darkside for us here in America. They’re all the same until something changes for us. They all lie and they all cheat but we can’t afford not to negotiate with whoever is in power or our condition in this country will never change. Our justice is bipartisan.”
Speaking with Big Boy, Ice Cube clears any misconception there is about his intentions with his Contact With Black America. “There’s a lot of conspiracy theorist out there who would think maybe Cube is getting something or he is asking for something behind-the-scenes for himself. The answer is no. I’m not, I don’t want nothing,” Cube said.
