Tupac’s sister Sekyiwa Shakur relaunches the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation and is asking you to donate for a very important cause.
The Tupac Shakur Foundation, originally the Shakur Family Foundation was founded by Afeni Shakur in 1997. Sekyiwa Shakur has always been a stronger leader in the foundation since it’s birth, but now finds herself with a bigger responsibility. Since Afeni’s passing in 2016, Sekyiwa has led the organization.
Now it’s your chance to take the lead during this giving season and beyond. Sekyiwa took to Instagram to ask for contributions and help spread the word. “There’s so much to be grateful for. This month we celebrate #GivingSeason and will be celebrating the spirit of giving all month long. Join us as we bring the work of the #TupacAmaruShakurFoundation to the community and continue to be change agents for good. Donate at 4TASF.org and use #4TASF and #TupacPeaceOfMind to help our efforts.”
Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation in 2018 funded 13 organizations donating an excess of approximately $65,000 in total grants, training, and scholarship funds. If you would like to donate, visit the site at tupacshakurfoundation.org.
Sekyiwa Shakur talks TASF
Sekyiwa Shakur was recently at The Laundry in San Francisco. Speaking with Sterling James, of KBLX 102.9, Sekyiwa spoke about the foundations new message, “What I want to be a new message from us, is that we realize where we have been. From the Panthers. The civil rights movement. The human rights movement, rap, Thug Life. We’ve realize where we have been, and where we want to go. What’s been working and what hasn’t been working. Today we can honestly say what hasn’t been working. And I want to create and want to help anybody else who is working on the right choice, the right change. The right way to offer support,” said Sekyiwa.
