Former Iran President Weighs In On Police Brutality, Quotes Tupac

Former Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad quotes Tupac, expressing his feelings towards police brutality in America, and the death of George Floyd.

In a Tweet sent by the former Iran President Saturday afternoon (May 30), Mahmoud Ahmadinejad quoted a lyric from Tupac Shakur.

Without censoring the iconic bar rapped by Shakur, Ahmedinejad tweeted, “The scheme of the world powers is to cause disunity in order to keep all societies under control. The killing of #GeorgeFloyd was deeply disturbing & upsetting & is the result of the current world order which we all must unite against,”Ahmadinejad tweeted, adding: “Pull the trigger kill a N**** he’s a hero.”

Ahmadinejad did receive backlash for not censoring the controversial word. This also wasn’t the first time the former Iran President quoted Tupac. Back in 2018, Ahmadinejad once again used lyrics from Tupac’s popular song ‘Changes’.

“It’s time to fight back that’s what Huey said. Two shots in the dark, now Huey’s dead.” Changes appeared on Tupac’s Greatest Hits double album in 1998.

Since the murder of George Floyd many have taking to social media to express their anger using either quotes or interviews from the Hip Hop icon Tupac Shakur. From Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, and Charlamagne Tha God.

Cornel West who appeared on CNN recently also referenced Tupac Shakur. When asked about President Donald Trump’s Tweet stating, “When the letting starts, the shooting starts”, West said, “Like Tupac Shakur I got some Thug in me. I know I got some gangsta in me.”
