Tupac Shakur is widely known for his Thug Life tattoo which is displayed curved onto his midsection. But, the Trust Nobody tattoo has become just as popular in recent years.
After facing five shots, an alledged rape charge, and locked up for just about a year of his life; Tupac would have every reason to “Trust Nobody”.
These exact words were uttered by Tupac in an interview that was conducted while he was locked up in prison. Taken place at the Clinton Correctional Facility Prison in 1995, the full interview was released titled “Tupac Uncensored and Uncut: The Lost Prison Tapes“.
“I already took five bullets, and if I can help it, I don’t plan on taking no more. I would tell each and every person out there forget about that clicking up (ishh). Be to yourself. Stay to yourself. Trust nobody,” stated Shakur during the interview.
These words would appear on clothing and memes, but initially would be inked on Shakur’s inner right forearm. In the middle of the those very words is a crown, all which was inked in black.
The iconic moment occurred on October 27, 1995, a week after his release from prison. Andy Neville’s Tattoo Asylum in Venice California, would do the honors of inking the Hip Hop icon.
Along with the Trust Nobody tattoo, is another seventeen tattoos that completed Tupac Shakur. All of which can be viewed here: Tupac’s Tattoos, How Much Do You Really Know About Them?
