Hip Hop legend hailing from the Bay Area, E-40, took to social media this Throwback Thursday (April 9) to share a rare photo of himself and Tupac Shakur.
The rare captured photo comes from September 19, 1993, when a 22-year-old Tupac Shakur is seen sitting on the benches of a baseball field. Sporting a Shaquille O’ Neal number 32 Orlando Magic jersey, along with his trademark bandanna.
Although the photo was shared in black and white, photos and videos from that day have been circulating the internet for over 10 years.
E-40 and Tupac would collaborate on various songs, as well as make appearance on each others music videos. Most notably on Tupac’s California Love remix music video.
Aside from appearing on the new music video, E-40 was featured on Tupac’s Death Row records debut album ‘All Eyez On Me‘. Collaborating on the song “Ain’t Hard 2 Find’, along with B-Legit, C-Bo, and Richie Rich.
In related news, E-40 is set to release a series of EP’s every two months. Titled ‘Curb Commentator’, the first installment will drop April 17th.
The next three Curb Commentator projects will follow bi-monthly as follows: Channel 2 on June 19th, Channel 3 on August 21st, and Channel 4 on October 16th. For more on this view: E-40 New Music, “Curb Commentator” Series On The Way
