The 49ers who started their season with an 8-0 record, were giving an anthem by the self proclaimed Ambassador of the Bay. E-40, two weeks ago released ‘Niners Gang’, which has been fully embraced by the 49ers organization.
The hit single is produced by E-40’s son Earl Stevens Jr, also know as Droop-E. ‘Niners Gang made it’s debut before the 49ers game against Seattle. The 49ers would end up losing the game 27-24, but still won the following week against the Arizona Cardinals.
The 49ers are now 9-1, and are set to face off against the Packers this Sunday. The success over the 49ers in the 2019 season is echoed in 40’s lyrics. “Levi’s Stadium starting to feel like Candlestick Park,” raps E-40. Referencing the success of the old 49ers stadium, plus shouting out legedns such as Terrell Owens, Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, and many more.
Bay area’s own E-40 has always repped his hometown. Back in 2015, 40 would remix up his song ‘Choices(Yup)’ to a Warriors theme.
The 49ers weren’t the only to show love to the new unofficial anthem. Former 49ers running back, Reggie Bush, also showed love to the new anthem. DJ Amen, 49ers DJ, is also a fan of E-40’s ‘Niners Gang’.
