Dizzee Rascal Scoops Legacy Award For Service To Music

Dizzee Rascal received the Legacy Award at GRM Daily‘s Rated Awards 2020 last night, Wednesday.

Hosted by Mo Gilligan and Julie Adenuga, the ceremony saw the celebration of the biggest names in black music. It should be noted that due to COVID-19, the celebrations took online via YouTube Music & German Doner Kebab-sponsored ceremony. In addition, the evening saw performances from nominees Kano, George The Poet, M Huncho, and Dizzee Rascal.

The legacy award comes following Dizzee Rascal’s announcement of his seventh LP, E3 AF, will drop in October. The ‘E3 AF’ title pays homage to Dizzee’s hometown of Bow, East London, located within the E3 postcode district. Posting to his official Instagram, Dizzee posed with a number of his awards while shouting out GRM Daily. He wrote; “Massive thanks to @grmdaily for my Legacy award and large up @post.grmdaily for your effort and vision. Maximum respect!
