Da Baby Talks New Album Kirk, His Father’s Influence

Explains why he dropped the intro first

With the number one album in the country, Da Baby isn’t settling. Speaking to the Breakfast Club this morning, Da Baby talks about his father’s influence and how he honors him with the new album, Kirk.

Da Baby released the intro first before any other song off the album, a move he says was intentional. “It’s definitely how I wanted to set the tone for the album and just you know give the fans, the listeners a different side of me. Let them get to meet me personally. Let them all know what all that transpired in my personal life during my break through as a major artist.”

Speaking of ‘Kirk’, Da Baby goes on to explain the name for the album. Aside from it being his last name, Da Baby honors his father with the project. Someone who influenced him throughout his life. “My pops is my role model. He’s the one that told me never settle for less.”
