On the rise Hip Hop artist CJ, who continues to climb the charts with his hit ‘Whoopty’, spoke about plans for his debut project and whether or not he will remain independent.
“We gon do a few more drill joints, that is what is in right now. That’s what the fans and the supporters wanna hear, but you never know we might switch it up and change the direction,” the rapper said during his interview on The Fat Joe Show.
Possible features on CJ’s debut project could be A Boogie, J.I., and Lil TJay, who are all on the Staten Island native’s wish list. “That whole group right there, I would definitely love to work with them. We gotta make something happen,” CJ said.
Now the question remains will he release the project independently or on a major. “We got a situation. It is gonna be solidified very soon,” he assures.
One thing is for Sure, CJ clears up any rumors of him being signed under French Montana. “That was him pretty much embracing me,” CJ explains. “He just wanted to show love. But, nah I’m not signed to French.”
Regardless of it all CJ is fixed on remaining humble no matter the success as he looks to stay in the game for years to come with the goal of remaining relevant.
