After teasing something major was happening midnight August 14, Drake did not disappoint as he drop a new single off his new album Certified Lover Boy.
Drake linked up with another artist who is having a break out year in Lil Durk. The Chicago native joins Drake on “Laugh Now Cry Later”, as they pose with their respective team fitted caps on the single cover.
With this single comes the announcement of Drake’s new album coming soon titled Certified Lover Boy. But, that isn’t the only announcement to be made some time in the near future. It appears Nike and Drake have a partnership in the works as the entire music video is shot at the Nike headquarters in Oregon.
“Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry, but I guess you know now Baby / I took a half and she took the whole thing slow down Baby / We took a trip now we on your block and it’s like a ghost town Baby / Where do these ni–s be at when they say they doing all this and all that / Tired of beefing of bums you can’t even pay me enough me to react.” Drake on Laugh Now Cry Later.
The last time Drake and Nike linked up was in 2013 for the Jordan Brand. Since then Drizzy has not inked any deals even when he filtered with Adidas since 2018. Drake took to his Instagram sharing screenshots of his new music video. One of those posts highlights 2020 OVO with the infamous white Nike check.
