Former WWE Superstar and current AEW wrestler, Brodie Lee (real name Jon Huber) has passed away at the age of 41, AEW announced Saturday night (December 26).
“The All Elite Wrestling family is heartbroken. In an industry filled with good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and beloved in every way – a fierce and captivating talent, a thoughtful mentor and simply a very kind soul that starkly contradicted his persona as Mr. Brodie Lee,” AEW released a statement via their official Twitter account.
Lee’s death is unknown as of this writing. He leaves behind his wife, Amanda, and two children, Brodie and Nolan. Brodie Lee Jr.
Brodie and his eight-year-old son Brodie Lee Jr. were just at AEW’s Holiday Bash event this past Wednesday, where the eight-year-old jokingly defeated Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship.
Lee made his AEW debut earlier this year after leaving the WWE were he was not happy with the direction of his character and career.
After being a regular for months on AEW television, Lee was missing in action for weeks. No one at AEW publicly would give the reason as to why Lee was MIA.
