After Rowdy Rebel was released back in December of 2020, new Bobby Shmurda release date has the rapper expected to be free as early as February of 2021.
Back in 2016, Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel both accepted a plea deal with a seven-year sentence and credit for two years time. This deal enabled Rowdy to be released first than Shmurda rather than the other way around.
Shmurda was set for a release date of December 2021 and was denied parole back in September of 2020 due to the fact he had multiple violations during his incarceration.
Now the rapper is reportedly due out February 23rd. What changed? Well the GS9 member still has to finish his sentence, but will have the luxury of doing it from home. It appears he will be granted a conditional release with parole-like supervision.
According to TMZ, the decision was made by the Time Allowance committee and not the parole board. Because his behavior improved, this has resulted in a new Bobby Shmurda release date.
