2pac Hummer Rare Photo Explained

Delray Richardson details the time 2Pac ran into Nas at the House Of Blues in L.A. Plus, the platinum producer also shares the story behind the photo of Shakur in his black Hummer.

Delray wrote and recorded songs with some of the biggest Hip Hop artists of all time. Artists such as 2Pac, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Sugar Hill Gang. Along with working with these top artists, in 2000, Delray won a Los Angeles Music Award for independent Hip Hop artist of the year. Black Eyed Peas would come in a close second that year.

When speaking about the House Of Blues Night in L.A of August 1996, Delray recalled those who were in attendance. The likes of Shock G, Kobe Bryant and Nas, all witnessed the show headlined by LL Cool J.

Delray also, explains the lyrics aimed at Nas on ‘Against All Odds’. Claiming the diss stemmed from the night in L.A at the House Of Blues. At the time, Against All Odds had yet to be released, but would later appear on 2Pac’s first posthumous release ‘The Don Killuminati: 7 Day Theory’.

Despite Shakur and Nas patching things up 3 days prior to the Vegas shooting, Death Row records did not remove the lyrics aimed at the Queens rapper. “21-gun salute, dressed in fatigues black jeans and boots. Disappeared in the crowd, all you seen was troops. This little n—a named Nas think he live like me. Talking ’bout he left the hospital, took five like me. You live in fantasies,” 2Pac dissing Nas in ‘Against All Odds’.

2Pac’s Black Hummer

2Pac’s rare photo of him in a black hummer, was a hummer he had purchased on August 16, 1996. Riding in his customized AM General Hummer H1 Hardtop with a V8 engine, a rare photo was taken a little over a week before he was shot in Vegas.

Delray’s home girl, Nanette Nick, who was in the car with him on that particular day, was able to take the rare photo of Shakur in his Hummer. As seen in the photo Shakur is holding up five fingers. This was due to the fact he was asked by another female riding with Delray, “How many times were you shot?”. Right at the moment Nanette shot the photo immediately.

August 2018 the Hummer was auctioned off again along with the photo of 2Pac in the Hummer. The hummer sold for $206,531 to an individual from Baltimore.
