This past Monday (July 27), Megan Thee Stallion took to IG Live as she gave an emotional and tearful account from the night she was shot in L.A. Both 50 Cent and 21 Savage showed their support for the female rapper.
“I was shot in both of my feet. I had to get surgery to get the bullets taken out. It was super scary,” Megan said as she begun to tear up. “Oh Lord, I didn’t think I was going to cry. I had to get surgery. It was super scary. It was just the worst experience of my life.”
After viewing the heartfelt video, Atlanta native 21 Savage expressed his concern for Megan Thee Stallion. Sending out a tweet to his near 4 million followers with, “Wish I could give megan a hug praying for you.”
As it was first reported by TMZ late night Sunday July 12th, Megan along with Tory Lanez were in an SUV after leaving a pool party Hollywood Hills home. Police arrived to after being called for reported gunshots. Shots that apparently connected with Megan Thee Stallion as the victim.
Since the story broke, many speculated and even ridiculed the shooting incident. One of those who poked fun was 50 Cent who shared a meme of Megan running away from Tory Lanez.
Megan would also go on to address those who ridiculed her, “It’s not funny. There’s nothing to joke about. There was nothing for y’all to start making fake stories about. I didn’t put my hands on nobody. Didn’t deserve to get shot. I didn’t do s—. Thank God that the bullets didn’t touch bones. They didn’t break tendons.”
“I know my momma, my daddy, my granny had to be looking out for me with that one ’cause where the bullet hit at, it missed everything. Them motherf—— was in there,” Megan continued. “It’s not that I was protecting anybody. I just wasn’t ready to speak. That’s not no s— that you immediately get on the internet and start talking about.”
50 Cent would surprisingly apologize after viewing Megan’s tearful video. Share a clip of the video on his Instagram account, 50 wrote, “👀Damn I didn’t think this s— was real,🤦♂️It sounded so crazy @theestallion i’m glad your feeling better and i hope you can accept my apology. I posted a meme that was floating around. I wouldn’t have done that if i knew you was really hurt sorry. 🤷🏽♂️”
